Trust me, they're not better jellied... and I speak as someone who actually likes jellied eels.

Do those jellied ones come in a jar, a bucket, a can? Are they pickled, salted, smoked? (Native Americans smoke them, at least the ones I have had.)

(I thank God my heritage is Russian. Caviar is great, even cheap caviar like they make here in Idaho.)

Apologies for the belated anniversary congrats, Nina and Howie.

My excuse is that the other Mr and Mrs Brown [of Sidmouth] were celebrating our 2nd anniversary, also on May 16th, in Catalunya.

No jellied eels there sadly, but lots of lovely tapas, paellas and sangria. We didn't have the cojones to try the dishes translated into English as: "pig's feet", "pig secret [!?]" or "bowels".

Love,

Caz
