Hello String. Thanks.

Ah, so it's cooling too? I can believe that.

Cheers.

Default snake

Hello Tim. Don't look now, but cascabel is also the name of a particularly nasty Mexican rattlesnake.

Cheers.

The only fresh pepper is orange Habanero.

There are many dozens of pepper varieties and I had thought that Morita, which is reputed to be of exquisite taste, was among them. But a Morita is merely a smoked red (ripe) jalapeņo, just as an Ancho, which I am not using this batch, is merely a dried Poblano pepper. Tricky people, those Mexicans.
Hey Tim,

Tell me when its close to being ready. I can be there in 10 hours if I take the pickup instead of the horse.

And just in case you run short of meat, I'll throw anything I hit on the way in the back and dress it when I get there.

The 10-chili chili is based upon this recipe:

http://www.chilebomb.com/recipes/ite...red-chili.html

with lots of tweaks of course.

The end product supposedly looks like this:

And a few of the ingredients look like this:

I also have a Trinidad Scorpion Pepper (SHU of about 1.3 million), but that will go in a future batch.

You're welcome to drop by, Chris. The wife is gone for the week and it'll be chili and football all day tomorrow. I'll begin at about 9 in the morning and it'll be done about 4 in the afternoon.

For breakfast I'm having an omelette with jalapeņos as a warmup.

Man!

If we wasn't already married I'd marry you.... if you was a woman I mean. Or maybe not... as long as you promised to keep the toenails trimmed before you came to bed.

I love good chili that much and that sure looks like the right kind to me.

Default Oh, deer.

Hello Cris. You'd LOVE to drive here. Deer walk about, EVEN in the city. There is a yard I've been doing for many years and MANY times I have to shoo two or three from the back yard.

Perhaps I can get my son to snap a photo sometime.

Cheers.

I saw him first, you bitch !!! Get yer own fella !

Lynn...deer walk though the gaps between buildings where we live like they, well, like they live here. Dogs aren't permitted in the apartment complex....and I think they know it. Skunks and raccoons are often seen.
