Turkeys are very territorial. I wonder if they are wondering what the heck the dead cat is doing in their mating ground...or something. I like the idea they are paying their respects.

A couple years ago a friend and I camped where a wild tom turkey had his harem. I spied him through some bushes and tiptoed back to camp hoping my friend would have the opportunity to see the spectacle. The darn turkey followed me back to camp in a foul--or is that fowl--mood. I got the dogs in the car because the turkey wanted to fight. My friend and I controlled him while I got pictures with my cell phone. He was lots of fun!
