Default In the Chatroom now...

This thread really ought to be made into a Sticky Topic.

I thought that we needed a thread for members to post messages about the chatroom. Such as "I'm going in - Cover me!" Or "If anyone wants to chat about X, I'll be lurking in the chatroom until _____ PM (or AM)." Or even "I dare you to go into that chatroom! It's HAUNTED!"

This would also be the thread to post whatever topic a particular chat would be about. Or if a special guest would be attending a chat. Or even to petition Tim to prepare a topical chat or trivia quiz.

I'll include the link to the chatroom and the server & channel info for those people who use chat programs instead of the Java applet.

For folks who want to use the quickest way into the chatroom, this is the link to click:

http://www.freejavachat.com/theme.ph...Forums&theme=9

For users of mIRC, Pirch, Chatzilla, etc. here is your information:

The server is www.freejavachat.com
The port is 6667
The channel name is #JTRForums

That ought to do for a first post in a new topic...

I'm in the chatroom now. I'll stay connected for roughly five hours. Don't look for me after 10 PM EST. Unless the conversation is really good...

Proposed topic for tonight: "Why Do Fools Believe...?" covering the Diary, Walter Sickert, Lewis Carroll, Prince Eddy, and any other theory/suspect that is utterly laughable, yet has a core of "true believers." Come in and defend, or attack, your favorite silly suspect or theory.

I wouldn't include the Diary, but you're missing D'Onston .

It was a good chat, for those that missed it.

The poor fly-by, who didn't realise he'd ended up in a chat room focused on murder in the first place, even seemed to enjoy it.

I nipped in just before bed, (it was a bit late in the UK for chatting!), to severely admonish Vila for including Sir Jim in a list with Lewis Caroll, Prince Eddy and other loony tunes, but everyone was so nice that I stayed and had a nice cup of tea instead!
