Happy Ballpoint Pen Day - John Loud
Where would we be without 'em ?
Before Marcel Bich, Laszlo Biro, and Paul Fisher...and the crummy ones they give you at the local bank....there was John Loud, Englishman and tanner....who on this day, October 30, 1888, 123 years ago, received the first patent for a ballpoint pen.

Have we all tried to write with a quill before? I'm sure I don't know how they managed to put together an intelligible sentence, never mind an entire book or similar!
