No worries mate, that was fun.

When I get around to it I'll knock one up as well.

Cheers

Only 1 day to go until this week's competition is over, people....last chance to get those answers in!!

Just so you know, the topic for the next quiz will be: Famous Deaths & Disappearances. Be prepared.

Jules:

Glad you enjoyed it, and by all means, anyone here who wants to make up their own quiz, go for it!

Cheers,
Adam.

Hi everyone!

This week's competition is now over.

Here are the correct answers....be ready to do the usual thing when you hear the answers: gasp and yell at nobody in particular "Oh, I knew that!!"

1.) When in the 1980's did supergroup ABBA split up?

Answer = ABBA officially announced they were "taking a break" in December 1982. They would never sing together again.

2.) Who was the lead singer of Van Halen until 1985?

Answer = David Lee Roth.

3.) Which group was a one hit wonder with the song Turning Japanese?

Answer = The Vapors (1980)

4.) Who had a hit in 1986 with the sexy song Touch Me ?

Answer = Samantha Fox

5.) Which Australian band had several big hits in the early 80's, with songs like The Boys Light Up and Reckless ?

Answer = Australian Crawl

6.) They just keep on making great songs.....what song did The Rolling Stones have another chart-topper with in 1981?

Answer = Start Me Up

7.) Name 5 of the singers who participated in 1985's USA for Africa concert?

Answer = You could have named plenty of singers. As an example of 5 who participated: Lionel Ritchie, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers.

8.) Madonna's hit, but controversial song Like a Prayer comes from what year?

Answer = 1989

9.) One of those weird songs which had an even weirder video...
Who did Sledgehammer become a hit song for?

Answer = Peter Gabriel (1986)

10.) And a nice easy one to finish off...
Before going solo, which band was George Michael the lead singer of?

Answer = Wham!

Having said all of that, it's time to announce this week's winner....well, to a degree.
The winner, who sent their answers in via e-mail, has requested to remain anonymous, so congratulations to you - you know who are you - and a big thank you to everyone on here who participated! Much appreciated, and I hope you all enjoyed it!

So, it's on to the next round! I'm just about to post up the new questions now. I don't know what Jules thinks he's doing (and I doubt he does himself....) but we might end up with a couple of rounds of trivia near each other....either way, enjoy, and best of luck!

Cheers,
Adam.

On second thoughts, it might actually be a good idea to find out what Boofhead's doing his quiz on before I start round 2....we don't want to end up with 2 quizzes on the same topic, do we?
Sorry everyone! Round 2 will definitely begin tomorrow.

Cheers,
Adam.

G'day Wenty,

Sorry about not getting back to you earlier about this.

I was going to something about fishing in the 1880s, but as you know I've got my teeth stuck into another project so I'll leave the trivia up to you.

Cheers mate
Jules
