Lol Robert.
If I'd presented two years before I did I would have been given aggressive therapy but luckily for me medical developments meant that although I have a high white cell count with binucleated cells;as in blood cancers-bone marrow investigation showed that mine could be classed as a benign cancer. I only get treatment for anaemia, which is a pain in the arse side effect of the blood disorder, plus I pick up any germ going and am prone to throat and chest infections. What they can't decide is if this is an early warning that a secondary cancer might be on the cards in the future as some people have no symptoms for 20 years and then go on to develop non-hodgkins or respiratory related cancers.
I've never heard of anyone else with the condition and my haemotologist (who is Polish and has worked all over the place) said he's never had a case before either. I think at last count there was less than 250 cases reported worldwide. I'm a right weirdo!

Hi Debs

Well, fingers crossed your condition stays as dormant as Howard Brown's chequebook.

Chris, I'm pulling for you over here--all the best to you. And you too, Debs. I don't know anything about it, but it must be a hell of a thing to live with.

Debs:

I overlooked your post yesterday, where you mention that condition you have.
I hope it stays dormant, sweets...like forever.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your condition Chris.
I think I read somewhere that family history might play a role in this, I don't know if that meant it could be hereditary. Without intending to pry, do you happen to know if any of your family ever had the same condition?

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery !!
