Default Message from Phil

Dear all,

This is being dictated to his son, Alan, whilst in hospital.

Thank you all so much for the kind wishes.
After three spinal taps and many tests, I am being kept under observation at least until Monday - when they will determine the nature of the beast.

The blood clot scenario is still relevant, but they have also talked of a possible leaking aneurism which although unlikely from the CT-scans developed, remains a possibility due to a trace of blood in the spinal fluid.

However, this could be down to from when the needle went in my back from the third spinal tap. I have to wait until Monday when it will be determined through more tests if this is the case or not.

In the meantime, I am under observation and in the best hands. Should there be any development, news will be given to either Simon or Trevor and relayed to you all.

Again, thank you all for your best wishes and kind comments. I am looking on the bright side and have come to the conclusion that somewhere in all of this the police must be involved. However, the scanned photos of my brain have not been doctored, and the brain definately exists. This is an ascertained fact.

Nether I, nor Alan will be able to reply further today, but in advance, I thank you for the kind attention you have given. It means a lot.

Phil

Thanks Phil and Alan. Please let us know the instant that the illness is unhesitatingly identified.

Yeah, and don't write it down on the bottom of a hospital menu.

Dear all,

Thank you all so much for the kind wishes.
After three spinal taps and many tests, the blood clot scenario is still relevant, but the doctors also talked of a possible leaking aneurism which although unlikely from the CT-scans developed, remained a possibility due to a trace of blood in the spinal fluid.

However, this could have been down to from when the needle went in my back from the third spinal tap. I had to wait until Monday when it will was determined through more tests if this is the case or not. I can report today that thankfully, that the blood traces likely came from the needle itself.

I am under observation and movement is restricted. Stimuli such as pc/tv is restricted to an absolute minimum atm. So use here is very restricted and I am borrowing a pc to do this. Quiet rest is the order of the day. Prognosis is good and time is a factor.

All of your kind messages mean very much indeed to me. Thank you.

Phil

Default good news

Hello Phil. Delighted at the good prognosis. Good news indeed!

"I am under observation and movement is restricted."

So you remarried? Happiness for the future! (heh-heh)

Cheers.

Ok Phil. Quiet rest. Nothing too exciting. Tune into an Arsenal match.

Good luck to you, Phil. Hopefully you will be back to your old ornery self soon.
