Default East Coast Weather Issues

We've been hit with a really bad ice/snow storm here in the SE Pa. area...upwards of 610,000 customers have lost power...Nina and I did early this morning but were extremely fortunate to get back the juice back on.....1 out 3 homes n' businesses in the Philly area lost power and may not get it for days.

I'm having one heck of a time staying on sites ( newspaper oriented) and am wondering whether any other East Coasters are having that problem too...its pretty frustrating.

Anyone else in the area with this issue ?

I'm not exactly in your area, but we've had two sizeable
snowstorms in the past few days and so far, so good.

(I'm probably doomed to a few days darkness now)

They're predicting two more storms this weekend,
but some sites say it's just a rumor.

Stay toasty, my friend.

Liv:
There's at least one more a comin'...Nina and I seriously lucked out that our power came back on. There's the county prison about a quarter mile from here and a police station close by, so that might be why they hustled their ass in getting the power back on.
Over a half a million people still have no power.
If this was one of those unimportant areas like Nebraska or Texas, the governors would have whined like a bitch that its an emergency for that quick cash. Not so in a man's state like Pa.
East coast people, not only better looking, but tougher.

Not only is the weather a problem ( for everyone ), but I cannot recall as having as much problem accessing newspaper sites.
I just spent 20-25 minutes trying to get one from the Philadelphia Times...and gave up.
Its awful.

Try this site:

http://fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html (NY newspapers - free)

It's working quick as you like right now.

The problem might be on your end.

Thanks Merv....it hasn't been a very good Winter this year...at least I don't think so.
If you ski, then it must be heaven.
