JT:

Shoveling ain't so bad if you have a place to put the snow. We, all of my neighbors united, had to lug the snow around 25 yards to a designated space...one scoop at a time. My car was surrounded in 40 inches of snow...but there aren't 40 inches on the ground.
It was a 2 hour job, at least.

More snow in Baltimore today, Presidents Day. Here's a view from our bedroom showing Donna's flamingos in the colors of the Baltimore Ravens (purple) and Orioles (orange).

Colder than a witch's tit this past weekend. With that wind it was like 15 below over here.

Which shows me once again that folks in the east get far worse weather than we get out west. I live in the mountains and can get very cold and lots of snow, but it is never like the violent and terrible storms in the east. Our weather usually blows in from the Pacific Ocean even though it is hundreds of miles away. The Pacific is much warmer than the Atlantic. I think too, our mountains help block some things.

(LOVE the vari-colored flamingos!)

That isn't true. My ninnys are just as cold as the weather.

Joanie:

I forgot you got 'em tested !

Anna:

You're probably right about the East's weather being a little more severe when it snows....its a matter of where to put it for most people here.

A last (?) late light snow in Baltimore this morning. From our bathroom apartment window.

Despite it being the first day of spring, snow is due for the U.S. East Coast. In fact we are in for a classic Nor'Easter storm.

Yes indeed...exactly what we don't need is making a return.

We dodged a bullet with the snow system which we were due to get over the weekend as the system occurred out at sea. Donna and I were up in Delaware and just saw a few flakes of wet snow.

Today in Baltimore we had a blue-skied day with scudding clouds.
