Worked six straight this past week and it was so sticky the Flies don't even bother to move. Just love all those Gatorade commercials showing people who don't really need it.

Cris:

The flies look like they're on opium, they move so slow.
There's a dragonfly who hangs out on our balcony...if I wanted to, I could rub his back...he's really one beat bug !

True, compared to Kuwait's heat, it would seem we have nothing to complain about. However.....
A guy I used to work with was stationed in Saudi Arabia while in the Army. He said that they couldn't work more than X amount of minutes before taking a break....I think it was 20-30 minutes. I could deal with that. He also said he drank three-four gallons of water, minimum, per day when stationed there.
Plus, the pussies in Kuwait have very low to no humidity.

It was 96 when I left work. The humidity in the plant fogged up Nina's glasses today.

String:

I converted the celsius to Fahrenheit and see that Kuwait had 129 degree heat.
Ha !
Back at the old plant in the sealer room...two or three women co-workers used sealing machines in an area that was once measured at 130 degrees back in 1997...the Year When Everything Turned Brown. Heat wave and drought for a helluva long time in '97....people's front lawns caught on fire on occasion. Like excelsior. Fans only moved the hot air around....dreadful spot in the old plant. Its torn down now and is not missed one bit.

I see London got up to 33 celsius last week....big deal. That's only 91 degrees ! I wear a bearskin coat in 91 degree heat !
Make you wonder how the Brits ever had an Empire with such mollycoddled mama's boys...

No Joanie...they don't.
Granted, its hot there...but they'd need more than the towels they wear on their head to deal with our humidity.
