Naturally the table came out all over the place, but basically it's displaying discussion threads.

Lightbulb Here's the Scoop

The VBulletin software does not allow a search for a period greater than the preceding 24 hours. The old Casebook software did, but it was of a different make.

There does not appear to be any way that this can be altered. 24 hours it is.

I know that this version of VBulletin does contain some bugs, as does the latest version, some of those being serious, which is why we have not upgraded. Maybe they will fix an upcoming version which takes care of all this but for now we will have to make do.

Sometimes I see no new messages upon a search, when I know there are some, and sometimes I see a host of new messages when I have read all of them before checking again. I dunno about conditions such as Chris P has related, but it seems reasonable to assume that the software requires you to log in before being able to determine which are new messages for you.

We'll track the complaints here and see if something can be done about them. There are tweaks avaialble.....

Yes, of course I realise that. But it seems strange that the listing of messages within the last 24 hours should differ according to whether you're logged in. Not that it bothers me now I know what's going on...

Speaking of which, I have not been able to call up the Casebook message boards in the last few hours. Anybody else having that problem?

Default Whew! Yes, O have as well...I'm relieved...in a way...

...thought maybe it was just me...

I was getting truncated versions of all each section, except for the message board, which I could not get into at all. Now I get normal versions of all of the sections and a "server cannot be found" message for the forum/message board...Is that what happened to you?

Whenever I experience technical problems like this I always open a new bottle of brandy.
If there is a note or message out there that you want to read, you'll find it, if not you can imagine you found it.

Default Thank you A.P. ! Even though I do not usually drink, may I please...

...join you in some Calvados, Cardinal Mendoza Carta Real, or do you have any Courvosier V.S.O.P. Cognac...I could use just a shot...It will make doing the laundry much more palatable...

Thank you!

I will bring some hors d'oevres, and I am also a mean pastry chef...Could I trade a homemade Lindertorte, Gateau au Chocolat or Engadiner Nusstorte for my shot of brandy?

One very small, rather insignificant issue is with the email notification system for subscribed threads. It is either hours behind, or the description ("So-and-so replied to a thread...") repeats the same users name time and time again.

Not a big deal, but not a perfectly running system either.
