I guess I could disappear for another 6 months. That might eliminate a bit of the clutter.

Default The state of the Forums

Dear Lars;

Sometimes, after a while, Ripper stuff becomes rather circular. So, some of us get a bit sidetracked inbetween the likes of A.P. or others putting something up, that makes us look at a thread sensibly for a moment. The wonderful thing I've noticed in eleven years of Jack The Ripper online, though, is, that most have a sense of humour when things become circular. Yes, even SPE has one. I seem to remember that you had one too.

But, never fear, Dave Yost is now posting here. All the serious JTR talk one ever desired.

I personally love the light-hearted Forums. But, then, who am I?

Debbie, How is no match for Carmine, and you know it.

I think many old Ripperites would agree that sometimes lightening up didn't do anyone any harm.

Debbie:

In case anyone thought otherwise, I would be more than a little upset if you were to take a powder ( I know you're kidding) for any period of time. Our repartee is just for jolly. Even my jokes at your chihuahua.

Hi ho

Just in case anyone is labouring under a misapprehension....I have no problem at all with light hearted banter. I can repar my tee with anyone.

However the deluge of odd unRipper threads is to my mind a problem. Not becuase of content but because of number when all could be reasonably, and highly entertainingly confined to one cesspit thread.

But it is of no consequence as admin has kindly (and I reccomend it) eliminated the offending chaff from my start page.

And a relief it is. And remarkably easy to navigate now. And it looks a hell of a lot more professional. A lean mean Ripper machine interface worthy of the topic.

As opposed to a smorgasbord of piffle. Entertaining piffle mind you....but nevertheless distracting.

I just went to try and get two comparative screenshots to demonstrate my point but I cannot do it.

At any rate....I think everyone should try it just to see how VERY slick, focussed, tight and relevant the first page looks confined to Ripper topics.

Its looks well maintained and to the point. Its taut. No excess guff.

Its like the calves of a Romanian sprinter.

Brutal but sculpted.

Tense yet full of promise.

Honed to glistening perfection and twitching with explosive power.

Ooooh errrrr............I have to go..........

I think that they'll be knocking down the door to get access changed to eliminate this kind of school boy humour

I think I prefer your captions.
