Greetings from Canuckland
*Dear Sors & Mams,
I'm a 31 year old Canuck who has been fascinated with the case since the tender age of 10. My first introduction to Saucy Jack was a grossly inaccurate children's encyclopedia entry about the Whitechapel Murders, which claimed, if memory serves me well, that Jack, in a desperate attempt to escape the police, jumped off the London Bridge and possibly drowned.
I don't consider myself a Ripperologist, my knowledge of the subject matter is rudimentary at the very best - I've only read about fifteen books on the subject, including Mrs. Cornwell's disasterpiece (shudder), and watched a couple of documentaries. I'm afraid I don't have anything new to bring to the table, I wish I could tell you that I found the authentic diary of Jack the Ripper in my grandparents' attic, but alas...I'm just here to learn.
*Sorry, I couldn't resist!
