I was thinking more Mary Ann Austin, who was attacked at 35 Dorset Street. When the Police found out the lodging house people took them to a different cubicle and were unhelpful.
What I am thinking with Smith is that she was attacked in the lodging house but was told to tell anyone that it happened outside and somewhere else just to keep the Police away from the premise.
