Default JTR: Supernatural Being

Hey. Yes, I know this is ridiculous and not to be taken with much seriousness, but for the Wacky Ripper theories, I thought this would make a good topic. What if JTR was not a human being at all, at least not the sense of another actual living person? Since he seems to just vanish into thin air without leaving a trace (no fleeing footsteps heard, no blood trails, etc). and gets away just narrowly with murder (Ex. PC Watkins walked in on Eddowes' murder probably just after JTR was finished with her), perhaps maybe he was a vengeful evil ghost who could just vanish at will and fade into the darkness.

Hi JTRSickert, as a Paranormal Investigator with a few years under my belt I would like a shot at this.

Whilst I think the idea is an exciting one, and sure to sell many a book and fill many a tabloid column, there is no evidence, past or present, that shows a spirit to be responsible for anyone's death. True, there are stories of vengeful spirits, and wicked wraiths, but stories these are, and never a shred of proof there is. (Sounded a bit like Yoda there!)

Yeah, Mike, that's good. Another thing to contend with of course, what happened to the organs? Did they just disappear into the ether realm? Or, how about this for a novelty? Since we have varying descriptions of suspicious individuals around the time of the murder, perhaps it was some evil spirit who possessed a person to kill, and then afterwards left the body? I believe there was a "Outer Limits" episode entitled "Ripper" that had Cary Elwes as a doctor named Jack who was chasing a gelatinous organism that possessed the victims and killed them after it departed. Very good episode (with David Warner though)

Mike, since you're a paranormal investigator, you should try to get on "Ghost Hunters International." That would be awesome.

Who in the hell chases gelatinous orgasms ? It had to be on Outer Limits then.

Hi jtrsickert, I'm a little busy at the moment, several projects on the go, and haven't done an investigation since December, although we have some planned for later this year.

As for the organs, there is a term in the paranormal world called an asport, where something vanishes to another realm.

I've heard stories before that Spring Heeled Jack and Jack the Ripper might well have been one and the same. Which, if you believe the stories about SHJ, seems entirely possible. However, there is just as much doubt over the lack of the existence of SHJ as the lack of anything conclusive to say Jack was a paranormal being.....no doubt there'll be a movie about it one day, though.

Mike:

Are you talking about the possibility of time travel? H.G. Wells style....
Still, if it was possible, it'd be pretty cool to go back to 1888.....atleast you'd know where and when to be watching to see who JTR really was!

Cheers,
Adam.

Asports are the vanishing of items.
Apports are the appearance of items.

As with most alleged paranormal phemomena there are theories, but sadly no evidence to back up their claims. Time travel is just one of the theories presented, and I agree, it would be pretty cool to go back in time and watch.

The worst part would be that you wouldn't be able to intervene though, or else you'd be changing the course of history.

Cheers,
Adam.

Feel the need to give a shout out to Harlan Ellison and The Prowler in the City at the Edge of the World.
