Thanks very much, Lynn. No haggis in the house but I did have a bacon sandwich.

Likewise, Lynn. No haggis here, either, but the level on the Lagavulin has dropped a little.

I can't get enough haggis - beautiful stuff, but I won't be partaking today, nor will I have my customary dram. I finished my bottle of Ardbeg on Sunday, and its replacement (Aberlour A'Bunadh - another favourite) isn't being delivered until tomorrow. I should have replenished my stock sooner

All this talk of haggis...if I can find a mortuary or wherever they make that stuff, I might try it. You only live once, right ?
Which in turn means youse have to try scrapple.

A friend gives me a sheep every year, packaged and ready to eat, but without the stomach. I have plenty of oatmeal but nothing to cook it in to make haggis...

So I watched videos on Robert Burns. His work is pure magic and like they said, everyone can understand his writing without the difficulties found in Shakespeare and some others.

I may attempt to rustle up some scrapple! Love trying new foods. I've had haggis a couple of times and, despite its questionable contents and method of cooking, it's very tasty.

Best wishes,

Sean.

Sean:

Good luck finding it. If you were closer, I'd have you over for a brick of Habbersett's

http://www.habbersettscrapple.com/

My problem with scrapple is that I'll eat the entire pound in one setting with ease. Then it takes a lot of work to lose that pound.

I prefer baking it than frying it...it ain't health food, but its healthier to bake scrapple than fry it.
