Default The Proverbial Fate Of Nine Days' Wonders

The brags of life are but a nine days' wonder;
And after death the fumes that spring
From private bodies make as big a thunder,
As those which rise for a huge King.

Of course, Will Kemp was an amateur compared to Thomas Coryate, the Odcombian legg-stretcher.

As I'm sure you all know, he was the author of Coryat's Crudities: Hastily gobled up in Five Moneth's Travels, 1611.
