Thanks very much for the effort Tim

Not quite what I had in mind though

I'll try some Photoshop work tomorrow and see if I can come up with a couple of illustrations

I quite like the idea of a frontal pic of the archway into Millers Court with a silhouette of the Ripper in the arch (have to be with top hat and black bag I suppos) and jtrforums.com being on the "Millers Court" sign above the arch

LOGO.jpg

Sorry my Photoshop skills aren't up to much

This is more of an illustration of what I had in mind rather than a finished logo

When I was making it, I was going to put JTRFORUMS.COM on the knife, but it would go just as well on the handle of the glass

A little blood on the knife might also be appropriate

Best Regards

Nemo

Personally, I like what you are suggesting Neems.
Run this by Jonny, as this is his bambino. The magnifying glass with JTRForums written on the handle sounds good to me. Blood on the blade too.

The magnifying glass might also go well with JtRforums chalked on a brick wall. Graffito with a bloody hand and/or a shadow might work too.

ShawnaK:

If you can design one in that fashion, then please submit it to Jon Rees.
That sounds pretty neat. I'd do it myself, but I couldn't draw ants to a picnic. My skills are primarily found in my extraordinary caption contest entries...which of course you probably knew about. Most people do.

Except the bums that judge them.

Although he seems to be quite successful at drawing flies, especially in a Passyunk summer.

I am in contact with an accomplished artist and after explaining some of the ideas on this thread she has kindly come up with the following logos which have the "T" in JtR as a knife and there is a shadow of JtR thrown onto white chalk writing on a black wall

See what you think...

Damn ! Those are really nice Nemo. Thanks for going to this effort.
I'm partial to the one with the red stuff.
