I still wonder if MJK's clothes were cut off her and burned after she was killed. There were some long cuts on her arms which I always thought could have been from the killer slashing clothes from her body.

This would change the scenario of what probably happened to MJK. The best indications are she undressed for her client and entered her bed in her chemise. There was clothing on a chair, neatly folded or not, and boots and stockings somewhere in the room, perhaps before the fire to dry.

Still, there is the possibility her clothes were cut or torn off and burned. That could go a long way to further explain why clothing was burned in Mary's fireplace.

Two things

1. Compared to nearly all newspapers which mentioned the Dundee Murder ( William Henry Bury & his wife, Ellen).....the South Wales Echo only had two articles covering the crime and not one suggestion as to Bury possibly being the Ripper.

2. In looking for articles I might have overlooked, the surname Bury & full names Ellen Bury/William Bury....do not materialize.

Pound for pound, I think the SWE had an inordinate amount of case and peripheral coverage compared to any other at the time.
