Default Christmas Eve 2009 Trivia

Being that today is the day before Christmas....I'm going to put up nothing but Christmas Eve Ripper trivia today...and convert attachments. I tried to jam 36 hours into a 24 hour day yesterday and I'm sort of beat...and I'll bet you are too.

If you have a trivia question you would care to share on the thread, by all means do so.

This one's pretty easy....even an editor of Ripperologist Magazine might get it.

What happened at Scotland Yard on this day 121 years ago involving an Inspector and an out of work salesman ?

George Marsh went to see Inspector Thomas Roots to tell him he thought Stephenson was Jack!

Good reply Mike.

Trivia question;

Who did the assumed name "Alice Downey" apply to on this day in 1888 ?

Default A hard one...

On this day in 1888 The Birmingham Daily Post featured an article about a Wolverhampton resident who recieved 3 threatening letters signed by Jack the Ripper.

What was the residents name?
