In the inquests of the previous murders the coroner always asked what the time of death was, or was assumed to be.
Only in the Coles case this question is not asked. I thought it was because Thompson stated that she expired minutes after his arrival about 2:15.

This press report was from a Saturday morning paper, but the inquest only began later that day. So coverage of the inquest is given in the Monday papers.

I very much doubt Dr Phillips gave any interviews to the press, he consistently avoided doing so throughout these murders. This press story may be hear-say.

I agree. I can't remember any other newspaper from that date ( or any date, really) that states that about her being on the ropes until Phillips arrived.
